Please practice sight words each night with your child.

Below are the dress up days for Dr. Seuss week. We will celebrate the week of March 2^nd, but I wanted to give you a heads up!

Grades K-2

Mellow Monday- wear pjs

Top Hat Tuesday-wear hats

Wacky sock Wednesday-wear crazy socks

Book Character Thursday-Dress as your favorite character of any book.

Funky Friday- wear mixed up clothing

●       Reading/Social Studies: Valentine’s Day

●       Writing: nouns and verbs, syllable

●       Math: addition

●       Phonics: sneaky e review

●       Sight words-your, when, that, say, look, go, hot, Wednesday

●       Nightly homework:  Sight words, word list 15.

Please practice sight words each night with your child.

We will exchange Valentine’s on the 14^th. We have 12 students in our class. If you want to have your child decorate a box to collect their Valentine’s in that would be great! A bag or premade box also works.  In addition, I will be taking care of snacks for that day, so I do not need anyone to send anything, but if you are crafty and have something that you would like to send, just let me know and we can work it out.

Candy Grams are going to be sold until Thursday, Feb. 13 as an archery team fundraiser.

Midterm STAR reports are coming home today. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Due to there not being school on Monday, all students will return their book on Tuesday the 18^th.  Monday/Wednesday readers will only have one night to read their library book, as they will return the book they get Tuesday on Wednesday the 20^th.

●       Phonics: final blends, 3 letter blends

●       Sight words-good, have, read, any, did, or, too, Tuesday

●       Nightly homework:  Sight words, word list 14.

Please practice sight words each night with your child.

We will exchange Valentine’s on the 14^th. We have 12 students in our class. If you want to have your child decorate a box to collect, their Valentine’s in that would be great!
