There is a note about counting club and alphabet club. These are ways students will be rewarded for learning our standards. 

 

On the back of the behavior chart I am listing the letters covered and the new ones we will cover this week. Please go over each night with your child. I also have numbers to 30, we have been working on 1-10, but I went ahead because some students already knew numbers to 30. Please review any missed letters each day!

 On the return side of your child’s folder is a behavior chart. I use this daily to let you know if there are any issues at school or if your child had to miss recess. If a box is not checked, then that means that rule was not followed. I typically write a note to let you know why a box is not checked. On the bottom you will notice a counting goal. Please work with your child to practice counting to the goal on their paper.

*If your child is in the running club please send back their permission slip to stay on their assigned days. Kindergarten’s first practice is August 26th (this Thursday).

*School store forms are coming home today. The instructions are listed. 

*Book order is due Friday, August 27th.

*Please sign and return the highlights form (yellow), regardless if you are wanting to sign up or not. :)

We are starting letters and sounds this week. We will cover the letters Ll, Oo, Gg, Hh. Please work with your child to identify the name and sound of these letters and match partner letters.

 I am sending home a paper that shows the correct letter formation for all of the letters in the alphabet.

 Tomorrow is school picture day. Please put picture envelopes in the folders if you are ordering.

 En el reverso de la carpeta de su hijo hay una tabla de comportamiento. Utilizo esto todos los días para informarle si hay algún problema en la escuela o si su hijo tuvo que faltar al recreo. Si una casilla no está marcada, significa que no se siguió la regla. Por lo general, escribo una nota para informarle por qué una casilla no está marcada.

 

Estamos comenzando letras y sonidos esta semana. Cubriremos las letras Ll, ​​Oo, Gg, Hh. Trabaje con su hijo para identificar el nombre y el sonido de estas letras y relacionar las letras de los compañeros.

 Estoy enviando a casa un documento que muestra la formación correcta de las letras de todas las letras del alfabeto.

 Mañana es el día de las fotos escolares. Por favor, coloque sobres con imágenes en las carpetas si realiza el pedido.
